Description
A really fantastic second album from this keyboard-heavy combo from France – a set that's even more cosmic and spacey than their first album, as you m ...ight guess from the cover – thanks in large part to all sorts of great work from Florian Pellissier, on a host of keys that includes Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Minimoog, and lots of other vintage instruments!
Yet the keyboards are only part of the sound here – as the group's got an especially funky current at the bottom, but one that's loose and free – kind of like the rhythms that helped propel Johnny Hammond to the skies back in the 70s – with acoustic percussion of many varieties, alongside some basslines that are right on the money. There's added horns at times, and occasional female chorus vocals – all of which further the soulful sound of the set
